York Region Urban Agriculture Events

Deepening Our Roots

In June 2014, Seeds For Change in partnership with City of Vaughan, City of Markham and York Region Food Network, held Deepening Our Roots, a panel discussion on community gardens and urban food growing in York Region. Bringing together community organizations, municipalities, businesses and gardeners, this event offered an opportunity to share best practices and policies around food growing.

The Deepening Our Roots event brought together six panelists, under the themes of enabling policies for urban food growing and community-led urban agriculture initiatives.
